CLINIQUE MEDICALE DE L’UNIVERSITAIRE EBEN-EZER DE MINEMBWE "CMUEMI"
The development of the clinic and laboratory of the Eben-Ezer University of Minembwe is a process that began in 2006 during the relocation of the UEMI in Minembwe. In 2010-2012, UEMI built its clinic on the campus and in 2017 it received medical equipment from a German organization Help Africa, now merged with ADRA Germany. Other laboratory machines have been donated by UEMI partners, which gives it an opportunity to serve the population of Minembwe and its surroundings. The clinic is accredited by the Provincial Ministry of Health under N/Ref: CAB/MINPRO/SA-AFH/SK/08/2021.
Vision: The CMUEMI has a vision to improve the quality of care, meet the health needs of local communities and increase the knowledge of students in medical sciences.
Objectives : One of the objectives of the medical clinic service is to improve and advance the management of pathologies. The studies of the clinical research unit relate to:
• Therapeutic management of various pathologies;
• The management of people receiving general care;
• Support for victims of sexual violence;
• Maternal and child protection.
Values
• Equality: Absence of discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, age, gender, etc. and the duty to treat everyone regardless the state of health and social situation. CMUEMI works in cooperation with other professions and competent institutions in health sector.
• Neutrality: care is provided without taking into account the beliefs and opinions of patients.
• Adaptability: Reorganizations are permanent in order to preserve the general interest and meet the needs of the population in a constantly changing environment.
• Reception capacity: The CMUEMI has Gyneco-obstetrics, internal medicine, a pediatrics, a medical imagery (echography), and small surgery services. In addition, it has a laboratory and a pharmacy with a capacity of at least 20 beds.
